The Savage Splendour Peony is a flower of extraordinary drama. Its large, single blooms open in ivory and cream, then reveal petals veined and edged in deep rose and lavender, with dark plum flares at their base. Each petal twists and ruffles in its own direction, giving the flower a sense of movement that feels almost sculptural.

At its heart lies the flower’s greatest fascination: bold golden stamens surrounded by deep crimson filaments, creating a rich, aquatic-like centre of texture and colour. It is a striking contrast to the softness of the petals — wild, refined, and utterly captivating.

This peony was recreated petal by petal in premium Italian crepe paper, with careful shaping to capture its flowing form and painterly blend of ivory, rose, lavender, and plum. It is a one-of-a-kind botanical sculpture; subtle variations in shaping, colour placement, and texture are inherent to its handmade nature, making each piece entirely singular.
