A Private Garden in Edinburgh
Floral inspiration is everywhere. Whilst travelling this summer in Edinburgh, our family stayed at a lovely mews flat in the New Town area. Upon playing with our son in the yard of the home, I noticed this lovely bush of Japanese Anemones in the garden. I was taken by their crisp white delicate blooms and snapped a shot so that I could recreate them upon my return to my studio. This was the first time I had ever encountered this beautiful flower in person.
The Japanese Anemone are a nice alternative in arrangements with paler colours as their centers are a light olive green surrounded by white and yellow stamens.
The following are photos of the flowers I recreated in Italian crepe paper. Now available for purchase in my shop.
