This is indeed the Ultimate Curling Tool and the tool I personally use in all of my projects.  I have owned one of these and put it to constant use for 5 years.  Incredibly durable and built to last.  The rod size is perfect for creating tight curls, or open after curling for a looser effect.  The metal surface allows for easy cleanup of glue removing the waste of using wooden skewers.
